On the seafront in Mumbles, with spectacular sea views of Swansea Bay, this small, charming, family-run guest house prides itself on its comfortable accommodation and tasty breakfasts.
The Coast House has just 7 rooms, guaranteeing its guests friendly, attentive, individual service and a quiet, relaxing break. All of the rooms are en suite and most of the rooms have good sea views. Each room has a hairdryer, fluffy towels, complimentary tea/coffee making facilities and a TV with Freeview digital channels. The price includes a full cooked breakfast, with a choice of fruit juices, cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurt.
As it is only a small guest house, the Coast House cannot provide 24-hour check-ins. Guests should provide their arrival time in advance, in order to ensure that they can be checked-in.

Food & beverage
Breakfast is served in the light, airy dining room between 08:00 and 09:00.
Breakfast consists of a choice of cereals, fruit juices and fresh fruit and yogurt, with tea or fresh brewed coffee to drink. This is then followed by a full cooked English breakfast. The generous and tasty cooked breakfast is made using local produce and whatever you have planned, the breakfast is a great way to start your day.
A cooked vegetarian breakfast is also available and those with special dietary needs can be accommodated on request.
Area information
The Coast House is situated in the heart of Mumbles, right on the seafront, with stunning uninterrupted views of Swansea Bay. The village’s shops and restaurants are just a short walk away.
The city of Swansea is just 5 miles (8 km) away and the University of Wales is just 3 miles (5 km) away.
Mumbles is the gateway to the glorious Gower Peninsular, the first area in the United Kingdom to be designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in 1956.
Bracelet and Limeslade bays are both within walking distance and, just a little further on, there is a scenic coastal pathway which will take you to Langland and Caswell beaches.
Travel information
By Car (from the M4 motorway):
- Leave the M4 motorway at junction 42 and head onto the A483 to Swansea.
- Follow this road until you reach the A4067 towards Mumbles/Gower A 4067.
- Take the A4067 to Mumbles.
- The Coast House is 0.5 miles (0.8 km) past the shopping area, on the right-hand side.
By Bus:
Arrive at the Quadrant bus station in Swansea, walk around the corner to the bus lanes. Take the number 2A bus or the number 3A bus from bus lane number one. Ask for the George, Southend, which will drop you outside the house.
By Train:
Taxis are readily available from just outside Swansea train station or you can walk to the Quandrant bus station, which is approximately 0.5 miles (0.8 km) away. Once you are at the bus station, you can follow the instructions above.

As a small guest house, the Coast House is unable to provide a 24-hour check-in service. Please contact reception in advance in order to inform them of your estimated time of arrival. You can contact reception by telephone or via email, using the contact details supplied on your confirmation email.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

All older children or adults are charged GBP 15.00 per night and person for extra beds.
